I’m so glad Dave acknowledged that racism is REAL, prejudices and stereotypes are real. As he said, we don’t all have the same starting point and whilst many people try act like it’s a non-factor, it’s not something to be zipped past. As a black woman, it’s been difficult and I’ve seen, felt, experienced, that I have to work twice as hard as my white male counterparts just to get to the SAME place, just to be acknowledged and congratulated on the SAME success. I’m not blaming anyone, sometimes racism is covert, unconscious and systemic. I’m just saying, for my people, we do have to work harder but it is possible! I’m in my mid 20s, worked hard to become debt free, fully-funded EF & am investing 25% of my income. I found Dave in my early 20s which I’m so grateful for, it’s only just the beginning 😅💕

That last part I experienced in a store little while ago, I paid for an elderly man who had the wrong card with him. The man wanted to buy flowers for the nurses that helped him. That made my day 😊

Before the beginning of the pandemic, we attended financial peace university, now we are debt free except our mortgage! We are working on that one. It changed the dynamic of our lives.
