Today we take a look at the Asus ROG Strix XG27ACS a monitor which I quote "Will have Strix quality performance at TUFF prices" and I can honestly say that you are definitely getting Strix quality and features.

The Asus ROG Strix XG27ACS gives you a 27" 1440p 180Hz IPS panel which are some of the specs for competitive gaming as 27" is a great size, 1440p a great resolution and 180Hz is more than enough to give you that advantage in FPS shooters.

You also have great features like VRR and HDR which makes this great for console gamers and then of course there is the fact that it is color accurate making it great for creators as well.

Usb-c is only 7.5w, so you won't be charging any laptops. It's purpuse is to charge your phone when you place it in that notch on the monitor stand. But if you don't care about charging your laptop, it's an excellent monitor.

3:32 i wouldnt call 1080p to 1440p a slight diffrence lol, its night and day for me and 1080p to 1440p definitley a bigger jump from 1440p to 4k at 24-27 inches, 32 inch becomes a diffrent story.

One thing i hate about youtubers, not showing the most necessary part of a new monitor, BACKLIGHT BLEED !

I use this with a Mac mini M2. Looks fine. I don't game but I want 144Hz with decent color accuracy. I should've probably went for the designer monitors by BenQ but they only offer 60Hz.

I came from a 1080p va monitor and I'm gonna send this monitor back. I learned that i don't mind a little blacksmearing, but the ips glow and backlight bleed is driving me crazy. It's really rough around the corners, almost light grey instead of black. everything else is amazing though

1440p at 27 inched has perfect pixel density. Its absolute bs if anyone says you can see the difference. Especially with stuff like DLAA

I got this monitor some days ago and have to say the colors look realy good, also it can be very bright and the clarity in game is awsome. Yet there's a huge problem with it. It gives me and other users eye strains, despite us optimizing the settings. Also when it shows a white backround like for web browsing it looks like there are stains in the white area. I have no clue why that is the case, but if those two problems wouldn't exist, I would have kept it, but those two issues are a no go for me.

What contrast this monitor have? It's really looks very good on response time and colors, but i hope it doesn't have contrast like 800:1 or something.

For example, is elmb sync not active when playing games between 80 and 100 Hz? Or does it benefit gameplay?

bought it as a gift for my brother, he plays valorant, so past the actual refresh rate do you think the blur is good for high rank valorant? Cant find any videos comparing ghosting between this and other similar options.
I know monitors isn't your channel specialty so if your not sure that's fine.

Edit: im also wondering if the usbc port actualy works as a display connection with laptops .

I have a ROG SWIFT PG278Q which is finally starting to die in it's 10th year. Looks like I'll be replacing it with this monitor as I can't really see much point in 4K for a 27" display. That's still 108 ppi.

Hey, I have a massive issue with backlight bleeding, I do not see the same problem in your video. Can you help me?

I have this monitor and I really don't like the side viewing angle. It's definitely not what I was expecting for an IPS panel. And yes, the edges has yellow stain when the screen is on full white. I should've picked the MSI one instead...

Is the displayport cable you get with it 1.2 or 1.4?

Does yours look to have a smudgy texture on the screen? Especially when displaying a mostly white window like a new tab on chrome or something? Just received this monitor and while everything else looks great, on white screens, it looks like it almost has a thin film of Vaseline on it, causing it to look blurry/smudged. Maybe it's just the matte coating?

Also, do you have any recommended settings?

Thanks!
