Thank You SoooOOOoooo much Sir! It was too technical, so my many attempts prior to today did not work! I just about gave up! I also tried unsuccessfully today because I found the wrong Mac installer at a different site. OBS would crash upon startup. Didn't know how to uninstall that version of python either. I also thought I would need to erase OBS and start all over again. Then I followed your website instructions and went to your recommended site and found the universal mac installer and followed your tutorial. It installed correctly and no more crashes!!!! Woohoo! Tomorrow I will learn more from your tutorial and then go to the OBS website to install their cool plugins that require Python! I'll keep you posted!

I signed up to chatGPT 4o and I was asking it tell me how to download python which it did through terminal but I got the paths confused and don't know how to resolve it even asking chatGPT.
