Noteworthy is those who are first installing pycharm will have to wait a while, while pycharm downloads indexing before they can run execute their first "hello World" script, so, don't get nervous when the 'Run' arrow is not enabled. You have to wait for the indexing to finish before the complier will enable.

during the installation, I am facing a problem. when you asked to add an interpreter I did the same as you said but I could not click on the ok button and on the left side it showed me "Environment directory is not empty" Please tell me what I have to do to overcome this issue
