One of the biggest highlights of my Greece trip was that I got to hike Mount Olympus. Yes, you read right – Mount Olympus that is home to the Olympian gods. It’s about 1.5 hours from Thessaloniki in the north of Greece, and a natural stop if you’re heading south to Athens.
Mount Olympus has 52 peaks, but the highest one is called Mytikas, which is 2,918 meters above sea level and requires some scrambling and climbing to reach. I ended up booking a tour as I was travelling Solo (more information in the guide linked below) and it was not as challenging as I thought and an absolute bucket list hike!
