Vocal Coach Reacts to Serbia’s Prince – "Mila" | Eurovision 2025 Reaction & Vocal Analysis

In this video, I react to Serbia’s Eurovision 2025 entry Mila by Princ from a vocal coach’s perspective. His performance is solid and emotionally driven, with a strong vocal delivery that I truly appreciate. However, I feel it leans a bit old-school, and could benefit from some modern vocal techniques to enhance the overall sound. Join me as I break down his voice, style, and share my thoughts on how it could be elevated even further!

Stefan je odličan pevač. Neka njegova pesma uđe u finale. I Srbija će biti srećna.

Layers + stickiness, what one could wish for more? A modern ABBA sound. Just close your eyes and imagine Annete and those Abba guys singing this

I ended up watching your reaction after all, and I have to say — you were very objective in both your critique and praise of the song and vocals. The performance will be completely changed, and the concept is based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice from Greek mythology.

The revamp, the final version of the song with a special focus on Prince's vocal production, was done by Željko Joksimović — who represented Serbia at Eurovision in 2004 and 2012, placing second and third, respectively.

What I personally don’t like in the song is the typical old Balkan vocal technique with elongated vibrato, which is especially noticeable in the first verse. That part sounds even more foreign to European ears, which might make it harder for the wider audience to connect with.

During the national selection show (PZE 25), Stefan — a.k.a. Prince — had a serious technical issue live on stage. One of the wires holding the moon prop got stuck in the ceiling, and he nearly fell from several meters high right before his performance was about to begin. He said his heart rate was over 300 in that moment, but he had to pull himself together and sing such a demanding song live — without letting the audience feel something had gone wrong. That happened during the semi-final.

Thank you again for your reaction. Sending love! ❤️

The song was revamped well over a month ago yet people are still reacting to the version that is not going to Eurovision. Why review the wrong version still?
