How to generate a flat pattern using Surface flatten functionality in SOLIDWORKS

In this video , we will evaluate a sheet metal component that is manufactured using a form press. We have a need for a flat pattern to manufacture but do not need bending instructions. We then explore the surface flattening functionality and export its flat pattern to a CNC friendly format , a dxf. Surface flattening also allows us to generate flat pattern of complex components which we would not be able to achieve using sheet metal functionality.
