I actually inadvertently chose the right route first time I tried the mission. I had left it for quite a while due to the borders of that province displaying the wanted red when I first started to open up the map adjacent. I just studied the map and terrain features then decided that tactically the shortest route also had the most cover for a stealthy approach that would give possible recon options to at least break it up in smaller, safer steps. Ended up literally cresting the bank and plopping down nest to the others.

I made it up there with a mask, and suddenly got spotted by law as soon as i was about to walk up to my people. Charles started attacking them with the bow and we had a shoot out for about 5 mins before i died. 😂

Thank you for this! I was really avoiding Blackwater but the missions had dried up and it was getting a bit frustrating. But I did a lot of crafting and got me an Arabian horse (called Georgia) and lots of other things. But I was ready to progress and just couldn't work out how.

I found how to get to the yellow marker right away, but missed where those two guys are lying down lol. Kinda hard to spot with their dark clothes.

I figured it out what you have to do is wear a mask crouch down and approach Charles and Javier slowly after you wait like 10 seconds

i did exactly what the video said but when i went to do it it said "You cant do this quest right now due to your recent crimes comeback later" (I have not been to black water at all through my play-through) what should I do

Edit: Nvm i completed the mission if you have a problem like me just save and load the game that should do the trick
