Xiaomi Roborock S50 | LDS Error 1 | LDS Stopped Working | LDS Error Fixed - TOTAL TECH

Fix for LDS Error 1, when LDS stopped working: Need a screwdriver and a USB cable.
Steps for solution with video timeline:
01:05 - Disassemble Roborock S50 upper lid and remove the screws where you will find LDS motor
01:04 - Then remove it carefully from Xiaomi Robo Vacuum Cleaner
02:33 - Cut the USB cable towards the connection end and will find 4 coloured wires
03:14 - Join the black and red coloured wires of LDS motor with same coloured wires of USB
03:40 - Connect the USB to a USB port (laptop OR power bank)
04:00 - LDS should start rotating and keep it in rotation for 20 -30 secs

05:30 - Testing after reassembling Roborock S50
07:12 - Performing auto charging operation on Xiaomi Robo Vacuum Cleaner
- That's it! You are good to go, Roborock LDS Error fixed

I have tried many ways to find Xiaomi robot vacuum troubleshooting, but found out this is the best possible way to fix Xiaomi Roborock sensor problem. Have browsed many videos online but could not find a solution to Xiaomi laser distance sensor malfunction. I was about to order a new LDS sensor spare part for S50 Roborock online and it was then, I just wanted to give it a last try.

And this worked like a charm without a doubt as you can see in the video here, about the LDS error fix.

I would recommend this solution for getting your Xiaomi Roborock sensor fixed. Just try this solution before you make other choices like Xiaomi LDS replacement, which is expensive.

Thank you for sharing! It worked on the first attempt. People... to disassemble Roborock S50 upper lid, you have to force a little bit (pull up the fixed lid part). Don't be afraid...you (probably) won't broke it :-D (May I suggest that you lower the volume of the music? It cover your voice sometimes) 👌

*Difficulty 2/10*: Worked exactly as described, w/ older mini usb, red & black cables only. Tried to plugin to wall via adaptor and didn't work. After reattaching the wires, plugged to laptop, it worked! *ANYONE* with a small phone / laptop repair kit can do this. Tip: strip quite a bit of of the red / black insulation casing from the cables, so you've got plenty of slack.
The only thing that has happened out of the ordinary, just prior to this LDS error 1, is that when the vac didn't get placed on the charger properly and caused the battery to totally drain. Even though, I recharged before using, seems something changed. How's that for anecdotal? Thank you very much taking the time to show us how to fix, saving us a lot of money. Cheers!

Thanks man, this really does I have no idea why, but it does. Soldered 2 wires to the motor, and first tried hooking it to an USB power adapter as I didn't want to risk a PC/Laptop, however although the motor worked - it did not work when I put it back in the unit. Then I hooked it to the front USB on my PC, and after another test - it worked inside the roborock unit as well. Damn.
