Why are people mean for no reason? Never understood that.

Honestly, if people are rude and insulting, servers should be able to deny service.

This is the reality for most service positions. I've had far worse said to me and about me in earshot. Just because I didn't feel like being an engineer doesn't mean I'm an idiot.

When I was a server at a restaurant, I heard a "someone like you" comment, and asked what he meant. He thought we were all single moms with no education. I told him I, along with 80% of our wait staff had Bachelors degrees. I am also childfree and married. He conceded that I was more educated than he was. We were working these jobs because they were available.

I had mistakes on my orders before and get this most people if you do mention it will kindly make it again if you are polite about it. In fact most throw in something free just because you being nice. It might not be much but a free cookie or a coupon for discount off of next drink. I don't get mad at service employees and a few times when I was having a very bad day and gave attitude I apologize for it and leave a 100% tip.

As a hairstylist, sometimes I wish it worked that way, cus then idiots could just dye their hair dark and all of a sudden they're not dumb 😂😂 but it don't work like that, unfortunately lmao

Sorry, but confusing almond and soy actually could be dangerous. Not exactly on the barista's side here.
