Показать описание
On April 14, 2024. A Deputy from the Grant County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to a crash investigation. The Deputy arrived and met with the caller who stated that she woke up to her car alarm going off. She came outside to see that her neighbor (Patricia) had crashed into her car before crashing into their duplex home. Officers knocked on Patricia's door and when she answered they noticed one of her walls caved in from the accident. She had slurred speech and said she crashed because someone was following her home. Patricia said she had her last drink about 6 hours ago at a golf course. However, an officer saw her vehicle at a bar approximately 20 minutes prior. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests and failed. A PBT revealed a .248 BAC. Patricia was placed in a squad car but went back inside the house to get her phone and secure her dog as there was now a large opening for the dog to escape through. While inside of the home, Patricia became upset about the damage she caused. A deputy transported Patricia to the hospital for a blood draw and on the way, Patricia stated that she was the City Administrator. Patricia did not submit to a blood test and the deputy got a warrant. A chemical test of the blood draw showed that her actual BAC was a .290. Patricia was eventually found guilty for Operating While Intoxicated. Her license got revoked for 9 months, she had to have an ignition interlock installed for 12 months, and she was ordered to pay a $880 fine.
