PhoneArena presents a Google Nexus 4 by LG Review. Regarded by many as the ultimate phone of the year, the Nexus 4 by LG is really one very inspiring handset, as it manages to present users with a very well-rounded package of features at an unbelievable price... that is, as long as you purchase it directly from Google. Is the Nexus 4 really so great, and aren't there any nasty flaws to it? Watch our video to find out!

LTE works in Canada on the Nexus 4 as it uses LTE AWS Band 4 2100/1700 MHz bands. So the LTE chip in the Nexus 4 and existing antenna does support some LTE.

I have the Gnex and can assure you that not only that phone but every android phone with on screen buttons has them disappear when in landscape mode for a few activities, mainly video viewing. I don't see how resolution becomes relevant (unless you're concerned about a minor decrease in pixel density) in comparing screen sizes. Android is very flexible and there are no restrictions dictating that any phone has to be one of a handful of resolutions (like apple and windows).

I've also managed to convert a handful of iPhone and BB users. It isn't hard to convince them considering the extreme lack of features that iPhone'ss and BB's offer. The only apple product line I truly support are the Mac's. I am on a Macbook right now. The OS is just so smooth and polished, and I can honestly say I have never had any issues in the time that I have owned it. I can boot into windows when needed, and everything is just flawless.

I personally have the S3, so I am not too familiar with how the GNex functions. If you say that they disappear, then that seems like a good way to manage the buttons. One thing I love about talking with others about android devices is that the conversation always ends up mentioning how much the iPhone lacks.

It isn't about the physical size of the screen. It is about the resolution. The Galaxy Nexus had (has) a resolution of 1280x720, which is true 720p. From what I have seen, the on screen buttons turn into dots while watching videos, but are still taking up whatever part of the screen. With the Nexus 4, the screen is 1280x768, so while the screen is oriented in landscape, you may produce results of 720p, but if the screen is in portrait mode, the on screen buttons are still taking away.

Capacitive buttons are actually a major cause for screen cracks as you'll find when you crack a phone even an iphone it will most of the time crack at it or to it.

Vanilla is a term used to mean "stock" or "standard" when talking about technology. Here it means that this is the original version of Android direct from Google with no skins or custom UIs on top of it like Samsung's Touchwiz or HTC's Sense present on each respective company's phones.

Only thing is that I installed a third party SSD and RAM, which truly make this machine fly. And a final thought, I think every company has their own strengths, and suit the needs of different people. Also, are you on any custom ROMs at the moment?

As far as the battery? sometimes you have to take the good with the bad but with that being said if I went with a phone like the N4 I would have to give up LTE a removable battery and no SD card support. Phones like the Note 2 come with a bigger battery and I can remove the battery and replace it whenever I want. The LTE battery life is something that I can live with and I won't have to worry about not being able to replace the battery myself.

Biggest addition to the email, is the fit to page option in the settings.

No review ever mentions about the heat issues which is noticeable under normal use. That makes me wonder if my phone is really a defected one.

If your phone secured with pattern you must unlock it and camera turn on only after that. Without unlocking you can only read topic and header of the E-mail. If it's just slide-to-unlock on your smartphone it's strange that you care about it.
