I think they nerfed the energy mine already. it doesnt work right away in the game anymore. you have to wait for it to charge up. and i think the charge times have increased.

Meier useless video he did not tell yall that the energy field can be only triggered by zombies and that mercenaries are considered humans so you need to get zombies near the mine to get it to activate so it would kill both zombie and the mercenaries in the process
