Dear Dr Thijs Porck, please continue to create great videos!
Could do a dialect comparison between of different speakers of OE? How about formal and informal letters/writings? Or how about words that "skipped" OE times, such as "look" ?

Thanks!!
Language videos are the best!

This video has really made me enthusiastic to enroll in the Master's programme (currently teaching as a teacher in the lower years of Dutch secondary education).

I kinda wonder what would Old English sound like if it didn't change much. Much like Icelandic, its a modern version of Old Norse and many Icelandic people are able to read old runes and whatnot

In the word 'weorold' why do we get breaking before the 'r' but not before the 'l'? Why is it not 'weoreald'?

The only thing I don't like is that this is too short. I'd love to watch a full documentary about the origins of old English 😊

Great video. I tend to think the Old English would have just called their language "Englisc" because why would it be old to them?

Excellent presentation Doctor.

Monty Python's "The Life of Brian" has a hilarious scene in which a pedantic Centurion bullies a rebel by correcting his graffito: "ROMANES DOMUS EVNT".

I am designing a set to illustrate King Arthur's attack on Gloucester (from Mabinogion), and want some humorous graffiti on the city walls: "Twll du bob sais" (Welsh for "English a***holes") is one
