I've bee aware of the main languages that have shaped the english language over the centuries. Yiddish however, is an old language from which many current english words derive. I'd appreciate receiving some insight on Yiddish. Thank you Leila and Sabrah.

Hi! Sabrah.you're so wonderful in your presentation that I, literally, time trveled when you're explaining the whole periods of invaders like Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and Normans. The sequence was well-defined because you mentioned how the change came about. Some words like 'psychology'from Greek
'diarrhoea'from Latin.
Some new words like 'guru'and 'mantra'came from sanskrit.
Thanks & regards
Prashant.

Interesting. I feel more comfortable in an academic environment indeed, I mean reading books, than in a daily conversation that uses a lot of phrasal verbs. German is less familiar.
