After the supposed fall of the Empire at the battle of Jakku, a large group of former separatists came together to bring back their old movement.

lets find out how the separatist movement was reborn, years after the Clone Wars ended.

Around 5 years after the battle of Yavin, the Confederacy of corporate systems was formed, hoping to rebirth the ideals of the old Confederacy of Independent systems, and break free from the former rule of the Empire, and the upcoming rule of the New Republic. It was mostly made up of the people who lived on corporate worlds, after most of the big corporations were dissolved by Palpatine and the empire. It also consisted of many true believers of the separatist movement, who never gave up hope.

Chancellor of the New Republic at the time, Mon Mothma quickly became very unsettled by the newly arising Confederacy, as well as two other governments hoping to bring back the old ways

Imagine if the separatist union battled the clone rebellion as the very last battle for the clone wars to end the war officially and not Ezra just ending the clone wars by using his logic in rebels.

I always thought after the Clone Wars the surviving Separatists joined the rebellion to go against the Empire to fight their old enemy to gain independence once and for all even at the cost of their own lives.

Imagine one of these new Separatists in the Mandalorian or the Ahsoka Show as a more or less antagonist or something. Or just straight up leave the Galaxy in Chaos after the Empire fell with very very Weak new Republic that has to fight many of these Movements that as Sequel would've been so much better.

The Confederacy is an idea, and that idea can and never will be destroyed. Would love to see some upgraded battle droid models while keeping the original aesthetic. It'd be beautiful.

*and I don't know why everyone's acting like the New Separatist Union would seek war. The genuine believers in the Old Confederacy only wanted independence, most of those types only supported the war path because they thought it was the only option, which was a false veil formed due to Palpatines machinations. So if anyone would be at fault, it would be the New Republic deciding to reject their call of independence once again..
