as the guy with the hydrogen bomb who tested to see how bright it was, i can confirm it wasn't that bright, i mean yeah even a star exploding is brighter

Автор

*For anyone wondering;* it's not gonna be some noticeable event like a shooting star. The explosion is projected to be about as bright as Polaris, so to the naked eye; it'll just look like another star appearing in the sky for a few nights before disappearing.

"It's happening any day now" is the vaguest explanation when talking about space. Could mean within 20-70 years or something.

The fact that this was 3000 light years away mean that it Already happened 3000 years ago which is crazy to think about at that time we were forming some of our civilizations

"Any day now" then "2104" then "keep an eye out now". What a roller coaster.

Were so goddamn lucky to not be in the 1800’s or 1900’s. We have the technology to understand a ton of space and stars, reading all the papers that will be about this event is going to be so much fun. I love scientific papers, they’re mostly free online and for literally any subject you can think of, both space, engineering, and medical stuff. I highly recommend checking them out!
