The idea that an Olympian struggles with motivation makes me feel better about myself.

Massive respect! Did my first ever half yesterday (Kirkcaldy Parks) which was my longest run. Two hours fourteen which I’m still delighted with, given I’m 39 and used to be 21 stones.

For anyone to do that in under 90 minutes, let alone 75, is mind blowing to me. Good luck!

Goal this year: after 8 months of a health issue, dip under 20 minutes for 5k again.

You're an incredible athlete and inspiration, Andy, while having such humility. Not surprised to hear the declaration of love in the video!

Training for my first half marathon right now! I have 4 weeks left of training, great to see this video now!

I'm going for a sub 2 hour half marathon, which has evaded me for 6 years of trying now. I've had it all, from injuries to missing it by 6 seconds. Gotta keep trying though.

Always love Andys training vlogs. Massive respect going for 75 on four runs. I'm in that ballpark of sub 80 and I have to train way more than that so shows how much natural talent you have.

I predict Andy will run his half marathon in 3.6 aerobics.

I’m going for a 10K and just want to finish it without dying at the end. I’m training with the RunWalkRun method and am pretty confident that I can complete it. 🤞🏻

Great work Andy, so inspiring!

My running has taken a knock due to having Covid very badly two months ago. Had to pull out of the half marathon I was training for as my fitness level and heart rate have been badly affected.

So my plan for the year is to build up my stamina again and not judge myself for not being able to run the distance or pace I once could.

Thanks Running Channel - you’re all awesome! 🎉

Doing a marathon November 10:

A goal is 4:30:00
B goal is 5:00:00
Non-negotiable is finishing

It's "nice to see you struggle", except that long run in the marathon training, your running always looks so easy. Except the short shorts (and maybe a few other things) that's what I'm like at every workout! Well done!

Hi From Denmark

Love to listen to TRC while biking to and from work!

I am 53 and ran my HM PB of 1.19.09 in Berlin HM in 2023. Was so hoping to improve on this time in 2024, but have instead been struggling with injuries most of this year, making it a pure survival year, running-wise. But I am determined to come back to top form and make 2025 a great running year, if possible. Afterall, I just need to find 10 seconds 😊 (but will be 2 years older 😊).

Good luck with your HM and sub75!

That looked brutal - well done Andy. I'm training for the MCR half in October, and my A goal is simply to get round and enjoy it. I'm coming back from a knee ligament and meniscus injury and remembering to be grateful I can get out again and run at all. The speed element can come back in when I'm fully healed.

Good luck Andy

Love watching you training for the fast long-distance stuff. I'm training for my first half (in October), but I've been out with injury so I hope I can still make it happen!

Last weekend, I ran a 41:38min 10k and placed 3rd! My next goal is to run sub 40, then sub 38😅 it was my second 10k race, I ran my first in may, and it took me 50 min.

Thanks to this channel, I cut off 8 min from my 10k time in 4 months!

Nice to hear "Siine ft. Mindme - There's a Heatwave" at the beginning of the video (although that was the instrumental version). It's my most-played in my running playlist and is such a vibe! Good luck on your Half Marathon, Andy! Mine's at the end of this year and I'm going for 'completion'.
