I have an Interesting relationship with Neon Genesis Evangelion. There are things about it that I either don’t like or don’t know how to feel about them but it’d be a mistake to say that it doesn’t mean anything to me or that it didn’t reach me at all

To me, Eva represents a new beginning. The chance of being stronger and leaving all your pain behind and embracing who you are; faults and all. To find that peace within yourself. To love and accept who you are.

Eva taught me that I wasn’t alone. That there were others out there who knew my pain. Seeing Shinji going through what I was going through and seeing him learn how to love himself and others was something that was really inspiring and touching for me. It didn’t cure what I had and it’s something that I still deal with to this day but has helped in the process

Eva taught me that I could rebuild, that I could advance, and that I was not alone. No one is That is what Neon Genesis Evangelion means to me.
