"The dark side of the electromagnetic force is a pathway to many abilities some consider unnatural" someone had to make a joke like this, I'm sure of it

A dark side of the electromagnetic force sounds like a cool idea from a comic book. Sounds too scifi to believe but its still an interesting idea.

it's really interesting to think that if dark matter can collapse to form dark planets and dark stars, they would have a concentrated point of gravity that can't touch regular matter but can still collect them into their center of gravity. In that sense, every regular planet probably also have a dark gas that glows in dark photons

Imagination is always the first and most important step in science, IMO. I think too many forget that.

I’ll keep this in mind for my next science fair

you're the best hank, love all the content you produce 👌👌

If dark matter planets can draw regular matter to them, could regular matter planets draw dark matter to them? Could Earth have done it? Is there potentially some dark matter on, in, or around our planet?

So, the dark photon is "dark energy" right?
Also props to the scientists at 2:57 for admitting the opposite of what they were trying to prove when the results show otherwise.
I feel like this is becoming a rare trait

If dark matter could, theoretically, form a planet- then what would happen if said plaent was then consumed by a black hole? Would that showup differently in the accretion disc?

Dark Matter Halo and the potential of a "Dark Star" is the most metal thing physics has proposed in a while

Do you know how Mars rover wheels are always getting torn up? Why can’t they make the treads out of rubber?

The idea of a dark matter star is awesome

Hypothesis- All the "voids", I.E Boötes Void, could be homes to dark matter galaxies. We can't see dark matter because it doesn't interact with light. Just a thought.

Love it when scientists disprove what they set out to prove, or vice versa.

How DO you make a dark matter planet? Asking for a Zigerion friend. 😀

"played around with the math until he convinced himself" sounds like the sort of methodology Sabine Hossenfelder roasts on the regular

Edit: spelling

Bowser already achieved a dark matter planet, but it was no match for Mario.

Wait a minute. So dark matter could (maybe) have it's own periodic table of dark elements, it's own rules, etc... I mean, if we can hypothesize dark matter planets...is it possible there's dark matter life? Something we could maybe scarcely interact with or understand, and yet has many of the fundamental traits we attribute to "life"?

I really hope we'll crack the code of dark matter and energy in my lifetime. Two of the greatest mysteries of our universe
