My IPad is my favourite piece of technology as I live on a boat and travel around . We are in the Eastern Caribbean at the moment and it keeps me in touch with family and friends as well as allowing me to watch quilting videos like urs

There are so many fascinating strides in technology. I agree with everything others said but my favorite is so under appreciated no one ever thinks about it but can't live without it. A toilet. Think about it. You do your business and flush it away. You don't have to think about it. It disposes for you. Imagine what it would be like without it. It's the one thing people cannot live without.

Love this. I'm going to go with my smart phone. I can pay bills, order pizza, fill prescriptions, daughters pull up online textbooks, watch YouTube ;), Google at my fingertips, calendar, make and receive phone calls, listen to music, and the list goes on and on! So this pocket charge station is perfect!

Rob, love your videos.  My favorite technology is pretty old school but pretty convenient in Minnesota--my garage door opener.  Fun technology--sewing/embroidery machine, scan n cut, iPhone, iMac, iPad.

Great little project there, thanks for sharing. I'd say my favorite piece(s) of technology is our washer/dryer. Could you imagine having to do everything by hand? So much time and effort. It allows you to spend more time enjoying life... and sewing! :-)

Super cute.  My favorite piece of technology is absolutely the washing machine.  I sure would hate to wash all of my clothes by hand.  I can live without most of the rest of it, but that would be the hardest to give up.

My favorite piece of technology is... That's tough.... Used to be the television because when I was a kid my pawpaw and I would watch "Sonny and Cher's" variety show before he had so many strokes due to a traumatic brain injury he received in 1969 (before I was born/adopted). We'd pretend we were Sonny and Cher... It was so fun.

Then I thought my dad's boat was the best technology because after he and my mom divorced our favorite thing to do was go fishing or trawling.

Now I think the internet and handheld ways to use it are the best technology... Why? Because it allows me and my 2 kids, especially my oldest son because he's autistic (high functioning) and doesn't talk much (verbally, just not "interested" in actual speaking) it allows all of us to really communicate even though they still live at home with their girlfriends (my boys are 22, 23 in early July and 18, 19 in mid-October and girlfriends are 22 and 24 respectfully).

So depending which time in my life depends on which technology was my favorite.
