From Gross To Gorgeous: Restoring A Smoker's Farm Truck

Today we are tackling a Ford 350 King Ranch that is solely worked on a huge farm here in Ohio. Each year these vehicles get hammered on and covered in dust, mud, and grime from the hours out on the farm. First is to remove the interior pieces and then begin steam cleaning the trim pieces with grease and dirt. Next I clean the headliner of this farmers truck that is smoked in and is very dirty. All of the carpets get extracted, leather seats cleaned and conditioned followed by the final wipe down of the inside before reassembly.

Great vid! Reminds me of the cars my late dad always traded in after 2.5 years. The headliner had gone from white to yellow, because of the numerous cigarettes he smoked while driving. Only the part behind the visor remained factory fresh, crisp and shiny white.

So, after all that, did the smoke stink disappear? I remember years ago when my brother visited, we rode around to a number of lots for him to look at used trucks as where he lived they were in very short supply. The dealerships clesned them up ok, but they still had the smoke stink hitting you right in the nose as soon as you opened the doors.
