What size can a table or a laptop fits and can it be use as a computer bag?

Do not like the composite panels for the webbing. My guess is they will not age well. I like the use of some 500 denier but would prefer the traditional nylon PALS webbing. I have the ARG DEP pouch and it just doesn't have the quality feel of the legacy line and the lack of the webbing on the sides reduces its functionality. Those big rubber panels are not for me.
