Think about how deep that could be. Vader obsessed over Padmé and wanted to bring her back for years in both continuities. If he meets his children, do anyone really believe Vader would torture that remnant? At the risk of them dying or hating him when he would want their loyalty and them to see him as their father? I personally don't. He would be possessive but not abusive imo. It was implied multiple times in sources that Vader cut off Luke's hand by accident, aiming for the lightsaber and only catching his hand in a fit of rage. How would it be now that Vader was about to torture Padmé's daughter?
