Everyone has a story on how they got here. Thank you for making me think of that. Life is kicking my but right now, but I'm focusing on a life like this. I'm a disabled vet, going through a split after she cheated. Holidays are hard because I'm here and they aren't. But I found a couple acres a couple hours south. So now I'm seeking not a less hard life but a life more intentional as you put it. Thank you

This is what our grandparents did, created their own homes. Nobody needed an architect and a real estate agent or a bank. They worked hard, bought some land and built a home on it.

I've recently bought land and a repo shed. Combined cost under $14k. The shed already has a finished bathroom, sheet rock, power, flooring, front porch. It'll take me longer to clear the land, build a driveway, perk test, power, water.

I am 61 and retiring doing the same thing. only kids i have are the 4 legged kind w horns. Love the build out. I have a very similar structure going up. takes a lot longer at my age
