Today we are going to take a look at how to manage your storage space and what is causing my hard drive to fill up. There is many reasons why your C drive keeps filling up. This can be caused due to malware, a over bloated WinSxS folder, hibernation which will create snapshots, system corruption, system restore, temporary files, other hidden files on the hard drive. I will show you step by step on how to free up drive space in windows 10. Not only will this speed up your pc, but it will get rid of hidden junk files.

You have a very good channel. You not only identify the files, but also explain why they need attention. Not everyone is as open and I also like knowing there are tools that help in rooting out wasted disk space. Not all are whiz kids and have all the answers. It’s refreshing when people like yourself and Nick Bunting to help out those who want to learn and appreciate the effort you guys make. There are more than a few who don’t share the why as well as the what. Two things are better for the understanding. We appreciate that for those learning to correct issues. Thank you for being open as well as informative! Stay safe my mates!😊👍🏻😷

Space Sniffer just saved my day. Thank you so much. Adobe Premiere Pro had a cache of over 170GB that I didn't know was happening.

Cool! Learned something new today. Not a huge thing, but very nice to know.

For any new VMware users out there, if you copy a large amount of data in and out of a VM, there may still be a copy of that stuff in your %temp% folder. If you've been wondering why your C: drive suddenly lost a dozen gigs of space, that's a very possible reason.

I like to use CCleaner for such tasks as i can also do many other things with that piece of software. Also it is fine with just the free version.

Yes I use that a lot, before I use to look through the files to see which was the largest, even through %appdata%

What I don’t understand is why my c drive automatically adds storage to random things after I delete everything. I’ll go from 60gb to 75gb and over night I’ll be back down to 70gb? I have a gaming pc and 32gb ram so maybe the ram is causing files to necessarily use space but I honestly have no idea. It’s constantly draining my storage even when I’m not doing anything. I’ll click out of the folders and come right back and be missing 300mb. Disk space or network not being used and pc not detecting virus. Is this normal?
