In this video we're going to go over iShares Canadian Technology ETF XIT. This ETF is a great way for Canadians to hold a basket of some of the best Canadian technology stocks in the country. Not only are some of these stocks strong dividend growth stocks, but they also are earnings compounders and have provided outsized gains for many of their holders. This fund has a near 20% annualized return over the course of a decade which tops both the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ.

This is largely in part to its concentration in Shopify and Constellation Software.

Glad you're doing videos so often now, been enjoying your take on things. I'd love your take on Purpose's YTSL, I've started a decent position at current prices and would love a seasoned set of eyes on it to make sure I'm not missing something that could potentially erode the NAV that I'm not seeing. Obviously I'm long on Tesla, this just seems like a great way to get a nice yield while I wait for some capital appreciation.

Compare XIT to Horizons Big Data & Hardware Index ET F (HBGD). Comparable MER 0.59% (cf. XIT 0.60%). Since its start around July-2018, HBGD CAGR is 57.37%, while XIT is 17.75%. By comparison, XQQ had a CAGR of 16.30% over the same time period. Granted, HBGD has been much more volatile, but still worth a look even if for a small position.
