Fun fact, the extra finger was probably added to crash bandicute because of a cultural norms in Japan where members of the Yakuza would have a finger cut off as a sign of devotion or a punishment. Having less fingers eventually became synonymous with being a member of the Yakuza and as such characters are almost always drawn with five fingers.
