Specially designed Contour DSB Sandpaper has holes that align perfectly with the holes in the sanding blocks. The paper is available in seven standard grits from 40 to 400 and is specifically designed for dry sanding and getting the best finish in filler and primers. Typically when sanding body filler you would start with 40 or 80 grit and progress through finer grits until finished. The good (fine) shop vac filters arent cheap, and bondo dust is like gypsum - will fill the filter solid in no time - so I paired this with a cyclone dust separator and 5 gal bucket. Zero mess and the same filter for the entire job. Love it.

Love the concept. Would tweak one thing....make the hose connection to the foam block a 90 degree connection so the tube is not pointing in your direction. And if you wanted to take that up a notch, make the elbow so it swivels.

Such a simple yet effective concept! Make you wonder why it wasn't developed and marketed years ago. My buddy who's a body man says 90% of the filler you put on a car winds up on the floor. With this system it's now in a Shopvac bucket and not all over your shop/garage Plus it automatically cleans the sandpaper so you're not unintentionally marring sanding surface with residue. Brilliant!

Use a dust bag in your shop vac and it will have more power longer as the standard filter looses power as it clogs, works well with wall board sanding

Id like to see a kit that includes a rigid sander and 2 flexible one (a short and longer one). Or maybe have the option to include these with the optiflow system kit.

Overall, looks like a great profuct without having to fork out over $1000 for a 3m extractor or festool system. Great job of remembering the DIY average joe who is on a budget!

I have a vacuum on my orbital. You need a dust deputy for that kind of work. Shop vac filter really isn’t good enough. I also use a hose on the vac exit aiming it outside you don’t want the air exiting in your area. If your hose is long enough you can put the whole vac outside.
