Daniel is easily one of Australian greatest musicians. A gifted songwriter who's always searching out new grounds and never static.

This may sound selfish, but I'm happy that we still have this guy around to continue making music. Most rock stars this tortured don't last past their 30's. So he is a fighter. I'm sure him and the rest of the Chair boys will put this behind them and be friends in their later years.

I'm from New Zealand. I'm 37, and I've known Silver Chair basically my whole life. I can physically feel his struggle in this interview. I've got so much respect for Daniel Johns.

People will not appreciate how hard it is to be in therapy and let alone also be in therapy publicly with interviews like this. Dan is so courageous for doing this and hope he does find a way to be calm and write music again. Much love from USA.

Daniel is an excellent musician, from the age of 15 to my 40s today, I will continue listening. Nostalgia for a lifetime, they grew with me. Keep going

I'm so glad we haven't lost him. I was in love with this dude in the 90s. His music meant a lot to me.

Thank you, Daniel. I've listened to you since I was 15 years old. I'm now 37. I think neon ballroom, diorama, talk, future never... are real masterpieces! I'm sorry they've costed you so much! I relate to your pain in so many ways. Thank you so much for expressing it through your music, cos you gave us all something to get us through ours. I really hope you can get out of this place and find all the peace you deserve. So much beauty can only come from a really great soul. You're a genious as an artist and an incredible human being.

Silverchair and NEON BALLROOM changed my life, and saved me when it first came out… I was struggling so much (we were all the same age) and hearing what he was going through, and realizing I wasn’t alone. Bless your most incredible soul, Dan. We are all so lucky to have you. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m 47 years old, and I will never let go of my youth, however it’s been a real pleasure to see the growth of Daniel and by far he is my favorite artist.

I feel so heartbroken by his sadness. I just wish an angel would appear to him and tell him how loved he is.

man, i started tearing up watching this . daniel johns is just so "human" in every aspect . he feels everything so so deeply and expresses himself so honestly and humbly that everyone can feel it just by watching him . i think daniel is the personification of what it means to be a real artist . he's not just a face on tv or a voice in a song, he's full of life and emotion and he puts it out there in the best way possible . i wish him so much luck and peace and i also hope that he finds peace with ben and chris 😿🖤

Silverchair made a positive impact on my life from my teens. I'm now 42 and my daughters, 17 & 21, enjoy their masterpieces. I hope Johns finds peace and continues his creative journey. He's such a talented, soulful individual. ❤ from Melbourne.
