What passes for music these days....shaking my head. Here's an old audiophile trick for breaking in speakers: put pink noise, or white noise from in-between FM radio stations, through the speakers, but flip the wiring to one speaker, or to one of the two cabinets, and run the speakers out of phase with the other; this will lower the actual perceived volume that you have to listen to and tolerate while still giving the speakers a decent workout with a wide-frequency noise spectrum. If you're using 2 separate cabinets you can put them face to face, close to each other, to increase the sonic cancellation.
