I think Zidane is highly understimated because a lot of his skills, can't be shown in highlghts or stats.
You can't show how much, he made his teamates better or the way he controled the tempo of a game through Highlight.
Just like you can' show his ability to always has his best performances in Biggest games.

Respect for choosing Buffon. He is simply the greatest goalkeeper of all time. He was the best UCL keeper in at least a few different seasons, including the 3 years he went to the final, he brought Juventus there. He even saved 2 Milan penalties in the 2003 final shootout. As a keeper you can’t be expected to do much more than that after 5 penalties. His team let him down in all 3 finals. Additionally, in 2006 he was the WC champion, best keeper in the world BY VERY FAR when Juventus went down to Serie B. Every team wanted him, especially Barcelona to replace Valdes. He could’ve easily went on to win multiple UCL, but he chose to stay. Have to respect it

Buffon been playing for more then 25 years at top top level, won World Cup, Serie A, lots of caps for both Juve and Italy, was the most expensive goal keeper until Allison to Liverpool, Rated by many top players who played with and against him, today football fans dont watch football for pleasure or beauty of it and only look at trophees and whos better Ronaldo or Messi

personally ill go, iker casi, most appearance, 3 tittles , ramos, maldini, carlos, cafu, xavi, modric, iniesta, zidane, messi, ronaldo .. it a full attacking team but regarding the champions league stats, i cant go without modric with a 5 titles come on.... and it a disgrace to touch one of the others. so ill respect football and stick with them and no need for midfield defense, iker n maldini n ramos can do the job... even if the opponent score 3 this team will score 10 easy

Those that criticise Zidane may not have been privileged to watch him. As lizarazu said, we literary gave him the ball and watched from the pitch😅😅. In 90 minutes, the guy literary had the ball for 10 minutes. The rest share the ball for 80 minutes. That’s dominance.

Hard to compare players like iniesta and Xavi with Gerrard and Lampard because they played such a different game in leagues that where so different back then. Now the Premier League has addapted to more technical play compared to 20 years ago.

I would certainly pick Modric over Gerrard but can't argue anything else. Modric would give everything attacking side but also give tremendous workrate and pressing on top.
