He is iconic for sure. But since he is a Madrid player its not allowed to talk about his many flukes. Firstly he makes alot ot mistakes, he commits stupid fauls cuz he cant take the actual ball and that could cost a team which isnt Madrid. He gets send off or suspended way many times. If people played football you would know how hard it is to play 10v11 it can also be shown when araujo risked a red card cuz he didnt read the play before hand. And thats the next point. Ramos doesn't have the defensive iq the greatest cb has. Sometimes he just rushes when he should be composed you cant really get sendt by SEMEDO. There is multiple of unknown opponents who had the better of him in a game and that shouldn't happen often to a defender who is regarded so highly. For most people he is top 3 and some thinks ita disrespectful to put him in a top 5. His defensive skills doesnt show he belong into that category. Just to put it in contexts. Ramos have never ever in his career won 70%+ duels in any competition. Romeo from tottenham won 80%+ in this copa. And vvd have done it over 10 times. Ramos is ranked highly for a a few thing which is one his goalscoring and thats good obviously, but thats the same as saying lets rank r9 for his defending skills and thats stupid. Secondly him being ironic his name, image, Madrid obviously, world cup championship etc and thats the thirs point team trophies people easily gets fooled by. A shiny team trophy doesnt make u any better as a player ramos with 0 international trophies or ucls will still have the same abilities. But thats how people rank players nowdays. People are staring to use that same logic with vini and Neymar its embarrassing..so for people who didn't really want to bet an eye into Ramos thats how he plays average for hos standard defensively and is saved by the goals. Not a top 10 cb of all time and i dont really care about clueless people who didnt even bother to analyze him if people want to argue here than u better have done your research
