The soviet k-222 is the world’s fastest submarine. It reached a top speed 51.4 MPH, that’s about 45 knots. The Soviet K-222 featured a titanium hull and twin 177 megawatt reactors, coupled with two 80,00 horsepower steam turbines.

The CMS Bras D’Or 400 is the world’s fastest warship. This experimental Canadian Hydrofoil reached speeds of 72 MPH (63 Knots).

The Vestas Sailrocket 2 holds the record for the world’s fastest sailboat. It hit a top speed of 75 MPH (64.45 knots) beating the old record which was only 57 MPH.

The world’s fastest Yacht is capable of going 80 MPH, that’s about 70 knots!

The Cigarette AMG Electric Drive Concept is the world’s fastest electric boat. It’s top speed is 100 MPH (87 knots). It uses 12 electric motors to produce 2,200 HP.

The South Bay 925 CR is the world’s fastest pontoon boat. It’s capable of speeds of up 114 MPH (99 knots).

The Spirit of Qatar is the world’s fastest catamaran. It uses twin Lycoming turbines to make a total of 9,000 HP. The Spirit of Qatar hit a speed of 244 MPH (212 knots).

The title of the world’s fastest top fuel hydroplane belongs to a boat known as Problem Child. Problem Child has hit speeds of 262 MPH (228 knots).

The Bluebird K7 is the world’s fastest hydroplane. It’s fastest run was a staggering 276 MPH (239.8 knots)

The world’s fastest boat is the Spirit of Australia. Ken Warby designed and built the boat in his garage. He drove the boat to 318 MPH (276 knots).

Just wanted to point out that Ken Warby took the Spirit of Australia to 328 mph. It was during a world record attempt where they take two runs in opposite directions and average the speed of the two to determine the record. The average speed of his two runs on this occasion was 317 mph.

Boats pictured for #3 at 2:40 aren't even the Problem Child - nor are they Top Fuel Hydroplanes. There should be a distinction between propeller driven boats and jet engine powered boats. The prop driven Top Fuel boats do it in 1000'.

I don't know if it's entirely correct to say the Russky sub is the fastest submarine; the speed of most US Navy ships and certainly subs is classified and I don't think the Russians do things any differently for OPSEC purposes.
