Pretty excited for this launch. The first game was so good from a co-op standpoint. Hopefully this is as good if not better!

if anyones curious about mutators and havent looked elsewhere, they are whats replacing armor set effects, they can level up to 10 and at level 10 get a second effect, the devs said its going to be like having 2 full set effects at once if you have 3 level 10 mutators.

Great overview, really opened my eyes to the systems as someone who mostly ignored Remnant 1, but really likes the look of 2.

I hope they add Load Outs. This is easily in my top 3 Most anticipated. Can’t wait. Also hope the Hub World is more interesting and more people to talk to when chilling between missions

The fact they got rid of passives on armor was the best decision they made honestly. Anyone who's played Remnant 1 knows that there are only technically 3 or so worth while armors and honestly that was really bad design. Now that we will select armor based on a weight vs. defense ratio- that really feels more in line with things. They compensate us 10 fold with the class system now.

It could literally be like the same game but with added layered armor options and saved load outs, and that’s all I need. Already getting one of those.

I'm actually disappointed we can no longer grind for trait level 1000 to basically be a new Labyrinth Guardian :( I had so much fun with that in FtA.

My most looked-forward to game (well, along with Armored Core 6)! The first game was so criminally underplayed. It was amazing.

Not thrilled about the limited traits, tbh. One of the coolest things about the first game was that as long as you kept playing, you kept growing. I tend to lose interest when I hit caps in games. I want to be UNLIMITED.

Also not happy about limited Stamina. The first thing I do in every game with Stamina is max it out, because it's basically "permission to play the game", and I'm not a fan of running out of permission halfway through a fight. That said, if there's less adds this time around, hopefully it won't be as big an issue.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still super hype for this game. I knew they would change some of my favorite things in a sequel, it was inevitable. But I do appreciate a higher focus on exploration, which is my jam- Remnant was always pretty good about rewarding you for finding every nook and cranny, and R2 looks even better. Plus having more build options will be really cool, just in terms of making more unique characters. I'm not super into "the meta" when it comes to games, but I do love making a character who suits my personal playstyle, and it sounds like R2 will let me do that without punishing me for not making "optimal" choices.

the way u were explaining the archetype almost reminds me of the job system from final fantasy tactics.. which was freaking amazing.. taking skills from one amd applying it to another

I love everything about remnant 2 so far, except for the trait level being so highly limited. I loved how, in remnant from the ashes, you could just level up till 1000 so you can be as strong as you want and not have to worry about missing an important trait. I hope that in Remnant 2 they at least give you the option to reset your traits points without a cost, or a hard cost, so you can move freely between builds.

the worlds were random in from the ashes thats why you had so many playthroughs was to try and get those encounters you didn't have before and the maps layout changes with it too. and with the restriction on talent points / build points they are enforcing metas to happen on a greater scale with less stuff ..
