It really hurts when you think about how his career could've panned out, had it not been for that really unfortunate accident. Robert was kind of a pioneer of motorsport in his country. Poland has never been in the centre of motor racing before and that makes Robert's achievements even more impressive, because regardless of circumstances, he was a fierce competitor to Hamilton and Rosberg in karting, he succeeded in multiple junior championships and had a stunning debut in F1.
It's hard to imagine what he had to go through during that long period of time recovering from that awful injury but the fact that he still made it back to the scenes, makes you admire him even more.
It might not have been a happy return but he still proved everyone that nothing is impossible, he made a priceless contribution to the development of motorsport in Poland and encouraged a new generation to take up racing. Surely, Tymoteusz Kucharczyk and Kacper Sztuka will have something to say in the future.

He’s a likeable personality and showed genuine talent in the sport, it’s a shame what happened but at least he’s alive and doing well in AF Corse today
