Man.. that’s so unfortunate, you get into F1, become a great driver, get injured, get back into F1, end up with possibly one of the worst teams on the grid

It is worth mentioning that after this crash he became a WRC2 champion, got 2nd place in Le mans in LMP2 and won a 2023 WEC championship.

During his prime Lewis Hamilton said that Kubica was the only driver he was afraid of. He also signed a contract for ferrari for the 2012 season but the crash stopped all that. Remember GIGAKUBICA still got the point over Russell that season ❤

Sadder that BMW could have been champion with him, but they cut off development of the car warly because of their epic "plan" for when they would be champion.

They threw the championship to focus on next year - and totally screwed up the next year's car.

Last I heard about Robert Kubica was that he was still a Formula 1 reserve driver for Sauber (Alfa Romeo at the time) and driving for the Ferrari WEC team. I remember that in 2021 he drove for Kimi Räikkönen in one of the races due to Kimi testing positive for COVID.
