I have been watching Dark matter since I was 14 years old. I’m now 25 and am having great trouble in my life. I’ve always admired DarkMatter2525 like a mentor. He is a brilliant artist, an animator, storyteller, philosopher, and grows a great beard. All things I very much want for myself. I’m not on YouTube comments much or any social media because I’m scared to put myself out there. But dark matter, I was in catholic school for 12 years and you were the only thing that got me through what they shoved down my throat. I hope one day I can converse with you.

My moment of entitlement came.as 11 year boy being brought up in the Irish Catholic tradition and realising that the physical punishments and humiliation school teachers regularly handed out to children who asked the wrong questions during religious education class meant that their god was was powerless and it was fear of punishment and of being humiliated by adults in front of your peers which was the only thing that gave it reality

"beyond time and space" for me isn't really the problem. You can just imagine a god as an animator who exists outside of our time and space, has full control and full knowledge of it. But obviously this isn't a christian god or any other popular religion and is also incompatible with free will etc.

Those are the type of questions (although admittedly put in much lest sophisticated terms) that my teenage self was asking a church pastor when I was told questions of doubt like that would lead me to hell.

A Christian/Muslim would argue: "We cannot understand anything beyond time and space, therefore you should not try to understand God"... Yes, that's precisely why I doubt that a bunch of ethnocentric Canaanite myths and speculations are any better at understanding such a concept than recognizing that we simply don't know or cannot have access to such "dimension" if there is such a thing. I remain skeptical towards anyone claiming to know exactly how to describe a timeless-spaceless being and what this being thinks, feels, prefers and wants you to do...

To quote Aron Ra, if God existed outside the universe, then any time he reached inside and tried to interact with the universe, his hand would be dripping with the physics of our universe. This would make him observable and testable, just like any other natural phenomenon. However, this is not what we see.
