From the intimate surroundings of the Norðurljós Hall of Reykjavík's Harpa, Víkingur Ólafsson invites you to enjoy a performance of repertoire from his critically acclaimed Deutsche Grammophon album "From Afar". For this unique concert, the Icelandic pianist switches between upright and grand pianos and is joined in duets by his wife, Halla Oddný Magnúsdóttir. He introduces the performances himself, sharing personal insights and commentary on music by Bach, Kurtág, Brahms, Mozart and more.

This is a world class pianist. Thanks to Deustches Grammaphon for bringing these world class musicians to us! My grandmother was from Leipzig and frequently went to Mendelssohn's Gevanthaus.
