I just came back from watching the movie. SO GOOD, especially if you're a fan of the franchise and have been frustrated with the past few offerings. While there are little call backs (and one big one that is given a decent purpose), the movie manages to expand the lore of the movies.

I love the Alien series never really cared what critics think about the movies, yeah a few hiccups here in there but the movies are good in there own right

I will always recommend people to walk blindly into a movie, without reading ANY comments, reviews or anything like it. Same goes with computer games tbh.

A plot that is lifted from at least 3 previous visits right down to "get away from her You know when previous lines are used that the movie is struggling.
Zero points for originality and just formulaic.

Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much from this movie so I wasn't wrong.

Critics will gaslight the audience as there is self interest involved: Ridley saying how "f...in great" this movie is, so a low score will mean zero access for future interviews/press clippings, invites etc.

2/10 and that's just for the stunning visual and the initial part of the movie which is a throw back to bladerunner lore.

I watched this movie with my 11 year old grandson, he laughed all the way through it. When I told him it wasn't a comedy he looked genuinely confused... LOL

Seen it last night it's not the perfect movie but it's everything we deserve in an Aliens film and there's not a bunch of mind-numbing agendas pushed at you throughout the movie it's just good horrifying popcorn fun

Rooted for the xenomorphs as the characters were terrible as was the writing. The only “good” part of the movie was the cinematography
