''Any man who would be a knight and follow a king... follow me.'' Great movie.

Boorman's Excalibur is one of my Desert Island Movies. I'll never get tired of it.

A perfect movie.

Arthur : Which is the greatest quality of knighthood? Courage? Compassion? Loyalty? Humility? What do you say, Merlin?
Merlin : Hmm? Ah. Ah. Ah, the greatest. Uh, well, they blend, like the metals we mix to make a good sword.
Arthur : No poetry. Just a straight answer. Which is it?
Merlin : All right, then. Truth. That's it. Yes. It must be truth above all. When a man lies, he murders some part of the world. You should know that.

That Mordred helm was the most unnerving visual and was absolutely perfect for the film. It does look a bit like the maid’s head in Spaceballs, though.

I don’t know how you can not love Excalibur if you we’re born in that era. Such a well done film with class.

The finest film about the Arthurian legend ever made. It's a masterpiece. This is MEGA.

I feel Excalibur (1981) is a bit of a forgotten gem of an epic sword and sorcery movie.

It's my absolute favorite from Boorman.
The shiny/shimmering metals in the movie are STUNNING on camera. Merlin's steely skullcap always looks very modern to me.

It's such an intriguing piece.

Honorable prop mention to Merlin's staff with it's phosphorus white light element,
as well as the smooth sleek roundtable inside the halls of Camelot, and the actual Excalibur sword itself. Another stunning prop.

Excalibur is still my favorite Arthurian legend film. Such a masterpiece of storytelling with some great battle scenes.

One of my all time favorite movies. I put it in a class of perfect movies like "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" and "The Godfather" etc.
So nice to see those "artifacts". Thank you Adam!

This is one of my favorite all time movies. That scene where Lancelot was stabbed through the side was so realistic, it holds up today to the point I've never seen any modern special effect replicate it as well.

I also loved the movie. It had a low budget; but I think it’s one of the best King Arthur adaptations. The soundtrack from the movie is excellent.

3:05 correction, Mark Addy wasn't in Excalibur, the gentlemen meant Robert Addie. Mark Addy was King Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones.

I love Merlin's helm from the Excalibur movie, such an iconic design. And Nicol Williamson's portrayal was fantastic.
If I had the money I'd be bidding on that - but don't so will probably try and 3D print one :)

I always wanted a suit of armor from that movie! The Merlin Helm is flat awesome!
Always wondered how they made Mordred's Helm. Would have never guess fiberglass. Wow!
*One of my most favorite movies of all time! Very Special part of Movie History and Arthurian Legend! Love that Film!*

I loved this movie as a kid. It almost felt like a historical documentary especially with that classical score.

Saw Excalibur on the big screen in NYC a few years ago, with Sir John there introducing it.

Thrills me to the core to find out Mordred's headpiece was still out there and, best of all, being taken care of.

Yes. I saw the good Excalibur in the theater. Nothing has come close since.
