Do not purchase this product. The app doesn't work and if you want a refund, you will have to send it to Lithuania which will cost $210. The company shipped it to me from New York but forces you to return it with a cost if $210 just to prevent you from returning it for a refund. Now I have a translator that I cannot use and will have to spend $210 for a $90 refund. This company is slick. Hopefully, none of you will fall for it. No one warned me but I am warning you. Don't do it or you will be as sorry as I am. Plus, the Google Translator is a free app and it does the same thing

I bought 3 of these things. They only work if it connected to your phone, with a internet signal, and the phone needs to be on with app open. If I have to use my phone, why would I need the translator??
Enense was the brand I bought. Sent from NY in USA. To return it, (at my cost), I had to send it insured to Lithuania.
The devices cost me $225+ with extended warranty. To send them back was going to cost me $116+. That’s over half the cost altogether and 2 were not even opened.
Just be sure to look for GOOD REVIEWS, (not this one), that use the product for more than just a second, explains what is good and bad, and let’s you see the FINE PRINT!
This is just my opinion which I’m entitled to express by the first amendment.

Same here. First time the app connected and I was able to use it. Next time the device was connecting successfully (as the voice said), but the app is stucking in connection mode and says it failed to connecti. Support is not answering. As another comment already mentioned, this is a mic and a speaker. The translation is done by an app and the internet connection of you phone. If you are not online (because you are in another country where you might need a translation), you can not use it.

*Can it detect any language, without me programming the language? For example, on google translate, if I type in a language which I don't know, google translate will detect and tell me what language it is.*

Only issue I can see it that the translations can be inaccurate. But it's useful nonetheless. Thank you for sharing!

A tip when you talk to people with a translator device or app: Look at the translator, not at them. It's difficult for them to focus on a translator all of the sudden when you're looking them in the eye, because their instinct tells them they should hear the words from you when you look at them.

So the translator works as a locator too? GPS? You ask for How to get to the train station but it answered The train station is in this location? Wow. :)

BE AWARE. This is not a translator device, it’s a speaker and a mic. The translator is an app on your phone that must be open at all times. If your screen times out or you do anything with your phone, you must reload the app and start over. A handheld translator should not require two hands! Returns are complicated. My device was sent to me from Canada, where I live, but returns must go to Lithuania, of all places, at a cost that’s more than half what I paid for the device! And then customer service told me that they won’t refund if I opened the box! If I knew any of this beforehand, I wouldn’t have purchased this.
