There are two important skills we all need for the Future of Work: Being a super perpetual learner and paying attention to the tangential.
Perpetual learning is essentially this idea of learning how to learn. But being a super perpetual learner means that you learn quickly, you learn frequently, and that you apply the things that you learn on an ongoing basis.
We need to accept that we can no longer rely on educational institutions or organizations to teach us everything we need to know to be successful. You need to be accountable and responsible for your own personal growth and development.
Paying attention to the tangential means being aware of things that are not just in front of you, but things that are a little bit on the periphery as well. Analyzing and understanding how your skills and abilities can be applied to things outside of your current job. Focusing more on skills rather than jobs.
