MXR make a bewildering array of OD/Dist units, I have a good few and I like the fact even the heavier ones roll back to a slight breakup unlike lots of other brands. They retain a classic sound. The SB Distortion is one hell of a pedal.

I have the GT-od and use it in front of my distortion channel with 0 gain on the pedal. it sounds absolutely awesome!

I only just got into MXR pedals after buying an MXR Bass Compressor. I cannot believe how much money I wasted on three inferior compressors when I should have just forked over the $180 a long time ago. It brings up the valleys and chops down the peaks just like how I like it, without over compressing the signal. Then I purchased the MXR M80 Bass DI+, with three (3!) outs: a regular 1/4" out so one can use it as a preamp, a bypass out which sends out what it receives unaffected, and a balanced XLR out. It also has a mean sounding distortion with a blend knob, which I use to blend in a SVT sound. Then there is the "color" switch, a magical device, which to my ears sounds like it puts a second preamp circuit with a set mid-scooped EQ curve before the primary preamp EQ circuit, which just thickens the sound so much. Now I'm getting into the MXR Distortion + pedal, a two-knob wonder which sounds gritty but never overly so, perfect to blend with a dirty amp. Really now, where was I all this time? Why am I only JUST getting into MXR?


Now, if only MXR would just put the in/out jacks and power supply jack on the top where they freaking should be, like they are on the EVH distortion pedal, we'd be in business!

Tenho imensa curiosidade no primeiro, não conhecia o segundo e já tive grande parte dos demais. Hoje estou com o 5150 como meu High Gain. Abraço!

Para meu goso pessoal anda não fizeram um Pedal de Distorção Melhor que o Distortion III e de Overdrive que o GTOD. O il Diavolo me surpreendeu muito gostei! Achei bem oldschool e tem harmonicos pronunciados.! O Shin-juko me pareceu muito fuzy! Não gostei para meu som... O Distortion+ ou o Script Logo os dois tem volume extremamente baixos perto do resto. Prime distortion achei muito parecido com o DSIII e o 5150 achei muito bom! Excelente Review! Um dos primeiros que nao fica usando o Maldito Delay junto!

Entirely unexpectedly, i lurke da fet driver! Its dripping wet saturation, but its still good honest OD, not modelled distortion. Goal!! I might be grabbing one....
