So I heard Polyphia's new track, "Playing God", and loved it, then realized the guitar parts could sound great on slap bass 😎 Remember to TAP like and subscribe if you enjoyed this!

I don't really even play bass but I quit

Most people wouldn't even attempt to learn this on guitar. You're a madman, and absolutely amazing for it.

Charles is turning into one of the worlds best and most technical bass players... Keep doing your thing!

It would be a music fan’s dream to watch Charles and Tim Henson play together.

The best bit was that bit between 0:00 & 1:00

Absolutely breathtaking.

For about 20 years I thought i was a bass player. Now I realize I just own a bass.

We really need to see a Charles, Ichika, and Tim collab song. Imagine their technicality and unique styles merging together into one epic track.

From a technical standpoint, Charles is one of the best bass players in the world

Those harmonics at 0:49 are absolutely godly

Literally never seen a more clean bassist in my life. So fucking tight, and on point. Jeezzeee.

This one gave me chills! The technique needed to transition from harmonics into the individual notes that quickly is something people who have never played probably have no idea how hard that can be. Incredible.

I love this kid, for he is really good, and now he can talk all he wants, and the rest of us bass players can shut up, listen, and learn. God bless you young man and thank you for helping to keep me humble.

This feels so much longer than 60 seconds. You just fit so much in

I literally was about to ask for some kind of bass version of Playing God. You torture us by only giving us 1 minute!! My personal favorite solo of yours by far! Would a full overdub or play-along version be possible??

No cap. Is he the best bassist of modern time? I’ve seen several of his videos and he’s unreal.

You never cease you make a whole generational wave of musicians and musically inclined people come to a crushing realization about their lack of actual talent..
In a good way..

Damn man. The guage of those strings alone makes this an excellent feat. People dont consider the extra strength it takes to get those things sounding pristine

I said it a couple weeks ago I’ll say it again: I don’t even play bass. I play guitar. For over 34 years. He makes me want to quit guitar. Not in a century of Sundays will I ever be that good at my instrument lol. Phenomenal. Generational talent.

Wow! I have been playing bass for 40 years and influenced by Jazz fusion players like Brian Bromberg, Marcus Miller, Abraham Laboriel, Freddie Washington, Victor Wooten, Nathan East, Stanley Clark, John Pattitucci, Vail Johnson. Charles.... you have surpassed all my legends as far a technique and incredible precision in different styles. Truly amazing work Charles. Keep it up. Love watching you play at a whole other level.

Great work as always.
I've shown you to at least 10 trained musicians I know at this point and each subscribed after one watch. We all end up chatting about each of your new releases.
