The fact that the troll even showed mercy to a young child just shows that the troll wasn’t the monster that people thought he was. The real monsters were humans all along.

The movie overall was quite saddening and demoralizing we see several times that the Troll was not an antagonistic or truly evil figure. He was a literal victim of an immense purge and extermination done to his entire species! He only wanted to reunite with his family.

Hold on, so the ONE mountain in all of Norway where the KING of the trolls is imprisoned isn’t closed off or protected by the government ? If the prince guy knew he was there then I’m sure at least some of the government knew. They just let it get blown up and free him 😭

I watched this a couples of days ago. So sad so pretty much humans destroyed all of them and some of them when hiding. Imagine waken up and your whole civilization is gone. I was hoping for him to survive.
