Have had my GTI SINCE 2008. Has gone through changes as I have built and rebuilt. Now has 380whp, an LSD, K04, reprogrammed DSG and complete suspension upgrade with S3 spindles, a arms and beefy sway bars. 350mm Alcon brakes and a braille battery.
Get challenged on occasion, but they learn quickly not to assume a hatchback is a dog.

suggestion- take some drives ( especially with a car like a GTI ) to some curvy backroads, and some highway vs. city streets /traffic.

Finally A reviewer that sees the entire system is super easy & intuitive.

The short cut menu is a drop down thing from the top.

I’ve had my 8 S trim for 5 or 6 days. I love it & really like the haptic buttons even 🫢

It’s a great little car.

You are correct on GTI with snow tires……my 2010 with Blizzaks was a beast…..miss that car

2023, and VW still didn't get the Memo about how most people hate the fact there is no Volume knob for audio, and we still have that stupid slider with no lights -- for night viewing -- for Climate Control?
"Intuitive" Climate Controls? Really? Forget the fact you have to feel for them, with little or no indications on the dash, for night driving.

Less features and enhancements for 2022/2023 and they have the nerve to charge $41, 000.00 for a 4-cylinder vehicle?
Disappointed with VW over this GTI. But hey... only my opinion.

$41 k MSRP plus ceramic coating, 3m paint protection, wash up fee, destination fee, doc fee, tax title and tag will put it around $45k. Don’t for get the $10, 000 market adjustment and the $3000 extended warranty and the 6.9% financing for 92 months. For a grand total of $70, 000. Make sure to get GAP insurance also. 😂

The tires / wheels are not a good thing. I have a 2015 and have gone through the low profile tires pretty fast due to damage, not wear. And they are expensive.

I would drop a couple of pounds or so of air pressure in the front tires to help out with acceleration grip

What pisses me off is how the GTI always come with a spare tires whereas the R doesn’t. Just got a flat on my R last week and have been without it for a week due to the flat tire and wheel getting bent. It’s just insane.
