The Origin of the WHY

I share the story of the WHY with you as we are all on this journey together — to help build a world where the vast majority of people wake up inspired, feel safe at work, and return home at the end of the day feeling fulfilled.

This is the tip of the iceberg. We have more people to reach and more people to inspire. Together, we can change our world. Inspire on!

Simon. I spent 23 years in Law Enforcement trying to make a safer, better world. I am so glad I found your videos.
From this point on, I intend to incorporate several of your principals in my teachings, as a Police Instructor, to try to help other Officers make a better, safer world for all. Thank you for following your passion and touching our lives!

The ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do. 👏⚘

All I know is that I'm constantly watching your videos 4 days straight now. I do this for 2 hrs or more over and over again before I go out to work. :) Thank you

Watch 4:45 to 4:57, that's the body language of an honest human who came through a tough journey. I watched it several times. Bravo Simon, thanks for being there.

Simon, you rock, such an inspirational person on so many levels. Your WHY structure & belief has kept me going when times were tough, I am uncovering my WHY as we speak & feel so encouraged about what I will find. Could not have made it this far without your passion. Thanks you!

Simon, you are the best. I came across your TED talk about 3 years ago. Your WHY information really helped me out with my decision to teach after I retire from the military. We all know teachers do not get paid much but I didn't care for the pay as much as I cared for the students. I figured in order to change the world, we should start with our youths and inspire them to do great things. I would apply your inspiring words to my students all the time. A huge thank you.

I accidentally found my why a few months ago after my entire life was uprooted. During one of the darkest chapters of my life, I️ came across Ted talks and heard your message. You have been and continue to truly inspire me to be better than I️ was the day before and to live in all aspects of life with the same underlying purpose, our why. Amazing things are already happening Simon and it’s like you say, the tip of the iceberg! Thank you for all you are and all you do. Looking forward to living a life with love, gratitude and purpose and following your journey!

Yes you are! You are changing the world! By changing individual lives, one by one. I love you and your vision and your books and the fact that you shared all of this with us. Thank you thank you thank you! I will never be able to fully express what you did for my life and my business - everything changed the moment I knew my why. And I am forever grateful for you.

The one word I feel when I watched this video was authenticity. I look forward to hearing more about digging into the WHY.

I used "why" to save a failing program by showing people how they could use it to make their life better. Thanks for continuing to inpsire!

I've been on this journey with you for ten years. You didn't know it, but I appreciate you for it. You are a leader, by your own definition, because you inspire people (and me) to greatness.
Thank you Simon.

This moved me to tears, also. I see a heartfelt passion for what you are doing. Confidence. Brilliance. The "why" concept is spot-on. As a Christian, I'm thinking this can also be applied to how we view God. His "what" is a better life on Earth, and eternal life. His "how" is Jesus Christ. His "why": love. That would preach!

It reminds me when I came across the Ted years ago and got so inspired that I had to share with everyone in every conversation, in every class, with every student.

Thanks Simon, - one question and I have total clarity on my way ahead with my therapy business. Discovering the need through ones own experience is really being tested in the crucible. I have felt so much shame over my grieving and loss as a young widow and yet it has led me to here- the good grief coach is currently being born after years of study, process and healing. And talks like this are timely reminders of why I am doing what I do. Doesn't sound glamorous - mention grief and trauma and most people look at you as if you have Ebola . Except if they need the support. If they have plastered dysfunction over their grief and 'just got on with it'. Speaking from your pain helps you find your tribe. Thankyou.
