I am a former athiest. Before this guys appeared on social media and before i heard them. I already left athiesm. The universe is too much to be mediocre. Its infinity and craftiness immanates perpetual prescence of a creator.

27:37 "aminoacids don't hook together by themselves"

This bit is the real kicker for me

Despite my years of reading on this subject, I always had the impression that things will hook up if they bump into each other, and the design arguments mostly revolve around the improbability of such hook-ups happening in the necessary sequence.

The idea that nucleotides have to be *forced* to hook up is quite an eye opener.

It's like spending hours debating whether or not pigs can fly based on weight and aerodynamics and such, and then somebody saying "You know pigs don't have wings, right?"

This was an excellent lecture.
It reminds me of a passage in Ecclesiastes.

Ecclesiastes 8:17 (KJV)
"Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it."

Knowledge is one thing, but to present it with indignation, fire, zeal and fearlessness for truth, that’s a quality very few humans posses.

Disbelief in an intelligent Creator has almost nothing to do with the mind but rather with the heart and one's willingness to be convicted.

As a Christian and synthetic organic chemistry, I loved this.

Very impressive, he doesn't need to debate anyone. This guy is really brilliant.

One of the best talks I have ever heard. The thing I got out of it the very most is that Jesus loves us so very much and is very much in control. We just need to follow Him. And also true science is all about God. I love science. Bless us Jesus

Dr tour wanted to be a state trooper in Ny. Thank goodness he didn't because the world would've missed out on, not only a genius, but a genius who believes in GOD and shows us just how impossible evolution would have been. He's a believer who is so smart he could stand up for us christians on this incredible complex subject against anyone.

"Some stages in this process are still not well understood" Yet, it is taught as fact!

Back in my early IT days (around 1980) there was a phrase that was used often. "I understand you in principle." When communicating with another programmer/hardware tech, it was common to reach a point in their explanation of something where that statement was appropriate. Basically, it meant that you were able to follow what they were saying, in general, without being able to grasp all the finer points of the concept.

What a joy it was to watch this presentation! Mr. Tour does an amazing job of keeping things at a level that a layman like me can grasp "in principle."

" I am going to just allow science to critique science" Brilliant Mr. Tour.

From another Ph.D. chemist, Dr. Tour is right on! Facts trump Opinion.

As an exercise, my Brother-in-law who was a high school science teacher once told me, "When reading a scientific article or journal take out a high lighter and highlight every 'non factual' statement. "scientists theorize that", Some scientists believe" etc it's amazing when you're done. There isn't a lot of content left.

Dr. John Lennox and me have a high opinion of Prof. Tour's thinking, knowledge and lines of argument.

You don't have to be a scientist to know those articles are bunk. Just count the number of 'could's and 'maybe's. If more than one, it's not scientific. As an engineer, I would be fired if I had those words in a paper.

Even if all the proteins, lipids, connective tissues etc. necessary to form a simple cell were some how assembled, in the correct you still need to make it live. Otherwise you only have a collection of organic components, without life. Forming a living cell is impossible without God !!! Excellent lecture 👍

What a blessing you are, brother James! We're still scratching our heads, trying to figure out the things that can be measured and weighed in our physical environment. Do we dare to delve into the supernatural, where our Father abides, the unseen realm? What an Awesome Father we have... "Our Father, Who art is heaven."
