Part 5 - Wonder! | Exploring Prayer with Archbishop Justin Welby

When you read the Bible, you see that whenever people meet God, they are filled with wonder. There’s often fear too, but there is wonder.

Wonder is the emotion we feel when we’re overwhelmed by God’s love for us in Jesus Christ.

How we do step into this extraordinary place? The short answer is we pray!

It’s impossible to fully understand how deeply we are loved by God.

But in prayer we can find ourselves on the fringes of the foothills of the beginnings of how extraordinary it is that we can have a relationship with our creator.

We can actually experience in our hearts this wonderful God who we see in Jesus.

In this session we’ll explore how we can enter into wonder in prayer.

Each moment of time when I pray I visualize light inform of stars surrounding me and feel the coolness of being in correspondence with my God.

The Lord said that whenever I pray, I am in front of God. I am looking at His face. Unfortunately, I sometimes forget, and the Lord said that my memory is fading because of the enemy. I can't keep up the pace consistently, so I have no choice but to sit quietly before the Lord. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the series. I'm in wonder and amazed of how much God loves me. What a huge revelation to me that that I can go to God and protest. What a great idea of prayer that I can write all of my concerns an give them to God without the fear of being condemned. Thank you Archbishop Justin Welby for this series.

That WOW moment - Worship withOut Words... I remember growing in this area when I realised that the human response to beauty is worship. To realise that the thrill of a sunset was my heart worshipping changed my struggle in this area. His fingerprint is in everything He has made. He smiles at us in His Creation - all we need to do is smile back.

Thank you for this series on prayer. I also thank you for your ecumenical work, especially with His Holiness, Pope Francis and His All Holiness, Bartholomew Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. As an Anglican (Church of Ireland) living in Norway, I am blessed to be able to attend a Lutheran church thanks to the full altar & pulpit Communion we have through the Porvoo Communion. I feel just as at home in the Lutheran Church of Norway as I do in the Anglican Church of Ireland. I am also pleased that we have full communion with the Methodist church. I hope that some day we might achieve Full Communion with the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches.
